The Shared Leaflet
Royal Mail · One business per category

Local advertising for your town, at a fraction of the price.

A curated leaflet featuring your town's trusted independent businesses, posted to thousands of local homes by Royal Mail. One business per category — so your ad never competes with the shop next door.

A solo leaflet drop to 5,000 homes runs to hundreds of pounds. The Shared Leaflet splits one beautifully designed leaflet between a small group of non-competing local businesses — so each of you reaches every home, for a fraction of the cost.

The same 5,000 homes. A fraction of the price.

A solo door-to-door drop means paying for the whole run yourself. Sharing one leaflet splits that cost between a handful of local businesses — without losing a single home.

On your own
£600+

Design, print and Royal Mail distribution to 5,000 homes — paid for entirely by you, for one leaflet that's all your own.

Your share
On The Shared Leaflet
from £150

The same 5,000 homes, the same Royal Mail delivery, design included — your category locked, with no rival on the page.

Four reasons local businesses choose The Shared Leaflet.

01

One business per category

Strictly enforced. If you're the town's jeweller, no other jeweller appears on the leaflet. Your advert never competes with a direct rival for attention.

02

A fraction of solo distribution

Solo door drops to 5,000 homes cost hundreds of pounds. Splitting one leaflet between local businesses brings that down dramatically — without losing any reach.

03

Design and print included

Two banner designs created for you, based on your existing branding. No briefs to write, no designer to find. Approve, tweak, or send your own artwork.

Posted by Royal Mail

Door-to-door delivery via Royal Mail's official service. Your leaflet arrives with the regular post — and stays in the home for 5.4 days on average.

Three simple steps. We handle the rest.

1

Reserve your category

Pick your town and the industry slot — plumber, café, jeweller, garage. Once it's yours, no one else in your line of work appears on the leaflet. First come, first served.

2

We design your panel

You'll receive two banner mockups, designed around your existing branding. Pick one, request small tweaks, or send your own artwork. Turnaround is a few days.

3

Royal Mail delivers

The finished leaflet is printed, packed, and posted to thousands of homes across your selected postcodes — with the regular mail, by Royal Mail.

Everything's included. No add-ons, no surprises.

  • Your category locked. One business per industry on the leaflet — no competitors.
  • Two banner designs created for you, based on your existing branding.
  • Print and finishing — 15 × 21 cm, full colour, both sides, on quality paper.
  • Royal Mail door-to-door distribution to 5,000 + homes in your town's postcodes.
  • Proof of delivery from Royal Mail confirming your leaflet reached the area.
  • Coverage map showing exactly which postcodes received the leaflet.
  • No fine print. If we can't deliver, you don't pay. Simple as that.

"Won't sharing a leaflet make my business look cheap?"

It's a fair question, and the honest answer is no — quite the opposite.

Think about the parish magazine, the village noticeboard, the local programme handed out at the school fair. Being listed alongside the other trusted names in town doesn't make you look small. It makes you look like part of the place — one of the businesses people round here already rely on.

And because it's strictly one business per category, you're never sitting next to a competitor. You're the jeweller. You're the plumber. You're the café. The leaflet says, plainly, "these are your local independents" — and your name is on it.

I'm Karolis. The Shared Leaflet is a one-person operation, and I like it that way. When you ring the number on this page, I answer the phone myself — no call centre, no account managers, no being passed around.

I started this because solo leaflet drops are simply too expensive for most independents to even test. The big advertisers get all the door-drop space. This is my way of giving the local butcher, the village café and the family garage the same reach — for a price that actually makes sense.

One leaflet per town. One business per category. Posted with the regular mail. That's the whole idea.

Common questions, plainly answered.

How much does it cost?
Pricing starts from £150 and depends on your town and how many slots are left when you book. The shared format brings the price down to a fraction of what solo distribution to 5,000 homes would cost. Fill in the form below or ring me and I'll send you the current rates in under a minute.
What if someone else has already taken my category?
Then your category is closed for that edition — one business per industry, no exceptions. I'll let you know straight away and add you to the waiting list for the next drop in your town.
Do I need to provide my own artwork?
No. I'll design two banner options for your business based on your existing branding — your website, logo, signage, anything you've got. You pick one, request any tweaks, and that's it. If you'd rather supply your own artwork, that's fine too.
How do I know the leaflet was actually delivered?
Royal Mail provides official proof of delivery once the drop is complete. You'll receive that confirmation along with a coverage map showing the exact postcodes the leaflet reached.
When does the next leaflet go out?
The first edition for Thirsk drops in July 2026. Other towns are being planned — see the "Areas we cover" section above for what's open and what's coming next.
Can I see what the leaflet will look like?
Yes — fill in the form or ring me and I'll send the current draft over. You can see the format, the layout, and which businesses are already on board.

Reserve a category, or just ask a question.

Send your details and I'll come back the same day with pricing, your town's postcode coverage, and whether your category is still open. No commitment to book.
